Timothy Chan graduated from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Thereafter, Timothy embarked on and completed his Relevant Legal Training and Practice Training Contract with the firm and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2021. Prior to his admission, Timothy had the privilege to represent the firm in smaller matters, and despite being the newest addition to Pereira & Tan LLC, Timothy has had opportunities to represent the firm and clients before Judges of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
During his training to be called to the Singapore Bar, Timothy assisted Mr. George Pereira in all sorts of matters ranging from Intellectual Property disputes to Disciplinary Tribunal Proceedings. Other noteworthy matters Timothy has worked on include disputes between co-owners of a property, contentious probate proceedings, Strata Titles Board matters, alleged defects in condominiums, alleged breaches of confidentiality, and conveyancing. In particular, Timothy has keen interests in Intellectual Property dispute resolution and Medical Negligence.
Outside of his pursuit of the Law, Timothy actively pursues many hobbies and interests, including but not limited to, building computers, programming, skydiving, specialty coffee, and performing magic.
